History of Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC was founded in 1892, then it is well-known as one of the most successful FC in the UK with fame and glory.

Overview

The first president of Liverpool was John Houlding. Once he found opportunity to establish his own club- Liverpool at Goodison Part, he didn’t hesitate to create it in 1892. In this period, Anfield stadium was the host yard of Liverpool. All players practiced and welcomed other teams at there.

In 1893, Liverpool became a member of the Football League officially. As soon as they got a ticket to join the League, they determined to get promoted to the top in ranking. As the good responses, they won League titles in many times such as in 1901, 1906, 1922 and 1923.

The Bill Shankly era

After the war II, Liverpool had performance badly when they continued to go down the bottom ranking in some seasons in 1954s. It was a period of mediocrity. They didn’t receive high position in ranking, even they were on the bottom.

However, the Bill Shankly helped Liverpool to get a new page of history. Someone called that it was the Bill Shankly era. With new style and new management, he can improve the status better. It was the first time in football history that the club’s storage room turned into the Boot room. All available rooms should be used to practice fluently. In addition, Bill Shakly changed the total team squad. He organized secret meetings with other coaches to make conveniently for people.

Finally, these unorthodox methods brought positive results for Liverpool, they won the First Division in 1962, then the League in two years later in 1966 and 1973. In addition, they also got two FA Cups in 1965s and 1974s.
